AI in Content Creation Can Help, But Won’t Make You a 10/10

As indicated in the title, my experience with AI in content creation has been somewhat disappointing. Many have boarded this train, lured by the prospect of creating niche websites overnight and earning substantial income. However, things did not unfold as they had hoped, nor did they last.

The primary distinction between myself and those who seek profit is my lifelong passion for technology and computers. For me, it’s akin to a playground, offering joy rather than the frustration many experience when there’s no immediate financial gain.

Don’t misunderstand me; I value honesty too, and I also anticipated making some money if things turned out well.

Why AI-generated content will not “work”?

First and foremost, there is a common belief that one can simply provide instructions to an AI, and the tool will create the desired content, ready to be copied, pasted, and published directly.

For those who fantasize about it, AI cannot substitute for personal opinions, and therefore, it doesn’t mirror your individual perspective. Moreover, the danger of copying and pasting information that may be incorrect and hazardous is significant.

AI opinions are not YOUR opinions, take some time to reflect on that.

What was my approach to using AI in content creation?

Guess what? Like many others, I began by using a prompt to generate content that seemed “cool” and appeared ready for immediate use. (At least, that was the lie i told to myself. Now, i would call myself at that time: An inexperienced user of AI tools.)

Then, I realized that this is incorrect and something must change because it conveys a feeling of, “This is not right… or even safe.” Consider some individuals who blindly use AI to create a website that offers medical advice. This is wrong, and you’re playing with people’s lives.

I have reviewed all my initial articles, striving to include valuable resources at their end. The overall presentation has significantly improved. Subsequently, I began utilizing AI assistance for crafting introductions and summarizing the products I wish to feature in my blog posts.

This was the moment I realized that AI can indeed be beneficial and utilized effectively.

There are some niches where AI will be of great help!

The first niche that springs to mind, from personal experience, is art. How so? Imagine if AI could analyze and excel at describing your artwork, then you could commission it to create a blog post that introduces your art to the world.

Now, consider adding more context, such as your true vision behind the design. This approach will afford you more time to create exceptional pieces, while significantly reducing the time needed to showcase the artwork on your personal website.

Creating listicles will be as easy as pie, except for the product testing part, which remains unchanged. However, the writing aspect, which I’m referring to, will require less time. And so on.

My plans with AI

I’ve remained quiet recently, primarily because AI has not lived up to my expectations. Moreover, I will refrain from using it “as is” until it proves valuable to both the writer and the reader.

I stand for quality and integrity in various facets of life, including this one. Rather than hastily crafting blog posts just to update my website, I prefer to wait until I can share content that’s truly valuable and deserving of everyone’s time.
